It all started with a desire to own the last piece of the Lazetich family ranch since the inception of 1924. The barn now sits where the old drive-in movie theater for Anaconda was located in the 50s, 60s, and early 70s, hence its address on Theater Lane. Sean had an idea to build a large barn after his sister Margie Ann was married, and noticed the need for such a service was missing in Anaconda and the surrounding area. The barn was constructed by many friends and family members and has been hosting events ever since the first party to raise funds for the Anaconda Community Hospital in 2001.

SPECIALIZING IN LARGE PARTIES

We are the perfect venue for your wedding ceremony, reception and rehearsal dinner, a one-stop shop. Smitty’s Barn can accommodate groups of up to 300 people with a 40′ x 80′ enclosed structure along with a large deck; situated at the base of Mt. Haggin in the beautiful West Valley of Anaconda.  The barn is conveniently located just off Highway 1, only minutes from downtown Anaconda. Most renters choose the entire weekend for their wedding allowing the party time to set up, celebrate and clean up afterward. We also now have the ability to provide and/or cater alcohol for your event.
